Joint Statement from Sektion 12 and FCKFC

We urge all fans to boycott support until the 20th minute of the match

This Thursday, the traditional Danish Cup Final will be played at MCH Arena in Herning – with fewer than 5,000 seats allocated to each team's fans.

This decision undermines the significance of the national cup tournament and shows a lack of respect for the many fans from both clubs who now won’t have the opportunity to support their team in the stadium.

Sektion 12 and the F.C. Copenhagen Fan Club therefore urge all fans with a ticket to the final – regardless of their allegiance – to boycott all visual and vocal support until the 20th minute of the match.

That the cup final is being held at the country’s seventh-largest stadium stands in stark contrast to statements from Claus Thomsen and the Divisionsforeningen (Danish League Association), who have claimed the cup final should be the country's biggest football celebration. There’s not much of a celebration when tens of thousands of fans are prevented from supporting their team at the stadium.

We hope as many fans as possible will join the atmosphere boycott – as a way to express our dissatisfaction and send a clear message that such a situation must never happen again.
